I am a Philadelphia-born video artist, director, producer, MAKEUP ARTIST, set and costume designer, animator, and illustrator working within the underground experimental music and film community.
I make THINGS with minimal resources. I make my own sets, costumes, props, animation, and imagery using found materials and practical construction methods. I am drawn to things that feel MYSTERIOUS AND IMPERFECT. IT’S AMAZING WHAT THE HUMAN MIND CAN COOK UP! My practice developed through necessity and has remained rooted in a long-standing DIY approach, making maximalist, difficult, and elaborate things with whatever TOOLS ARE available.
I am also the founder of 1-800-HOT-DUCK, a traveling video curation project presenting experimental, UNTRADITIONAL, and otherwise hard-to-find VIDEO ART in UNDERGROUND venues and spaces around the world. MY video and curatorial work has been presented internationally, including at The Horse Hospital in London, with artist residencies at Wedding Cake House in Providence, RI and Lakkos in Crete.
