No Fate Fortune Telling Cards is an illustrated 54 card deck for use in divination and play.
Unlike tarot, No Fate is based on the structure and visual language of traditional playing cards and is designed to function simultaneously as a divination system and a fully playable deck for games and betting.
The imagery draws from traditional playing card iconography. The text is based on twentieth century fortune-telling card decks.
In conjunction with the no fate deck, I created a group of printed objects, textiles, and games function as both artwork and object. These works are intended to be tossed about, collected, played with, worn, treasured, or given away.
